her approach to achieving a healthier life with member participation. Small
changes done slowly and consistently toward good habits to produce
lasting results. She identified which pieces of the puzzle need work
as well as individual realistic goalsl based on body type and factors
which may include: nutrition, sleep, illness, medications, hormones,
stress, exercise, daily activity, hydration and even over-training. July 2 - Elaine Davis from E. Davis Consulting, LLC, reviewed her 20 years of background experience in the Human Resources and Unemployment Compensation fields, first with the Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry as a Decision Writer for the Board of Review and then as Administrative Officer handling all HR for the Chief Counsel’s Office. In addition, Elaine worked as a Human Resources Manager for Tyco and as a paralegal for a private firm. She offered tips for employers on avoiding employment policies and situations that could result in lawsuits and challenging UC claims and tax rates. She emphasized the necessity of a customized Employee Manual and the hazards of using a generic manual without having it reviewed for legalities and successful strategies, a service she provides. Elaine offers many other Employer services, including representation of Employers at UC hearings. She also gives under 15-minute phone consults free of charge. Faq Sheet download JUNE PRESENTATIONS June 25 - Chef Richard Sheaffer of the Drexel Group Staffing Group - explained the advantages of trying out employees before hiring. He outlined the various tests and clearances his company offers to vet employees before they are assigned to jobs. Chef Richard is in charge of hospitality staff hires and helps in other areas also. Accompanying him was a multi-lingual capable co-manager who interviews and places employees in categories from Professional to Laborer.
